Catch the Google Wave
New Technology Could 'Revolutionize' Business Communications
By Ted Edwards International Property Journal
 |
Tech speaker and trainer Doug Devitre believes Google Wave will become “the ultimate communication tool” for real estate professionals. The free software, which he calls “revolutionary,” will “drastically reduce the amount of email you receive and time spent on multiple social networks,” he writes in a post on his Web site.
If nothing else, Wave is the talk of Geekdom. Even though the software is still in “limited preview,” fans are desperately debating its pros and cons and rushing to write user guides.
At its heart, Wave is an all-in-one collaboration and communication, combining e-mail, instant messaging, social media sites and Web chat on to one screen. Best of all, it’s easy to make the page open to a group, allowing real time editing, sharing and conversation. Imagine Facebook if everybody on the team could view and edit the same dialogue at the same time. Need an ad agency to work on a rush job? Simply add them to the wave and they can see the entire discussion and immediately share documents and art.

The Social Media Revolution in Real Estate
By Deborah Boza-Valledor Chief Operating Officer of the REALTOR® Association of Greater Miami and The Beaches (RAMB)
When I recently watched a powerful video on YouTube—called the Social Media Revolution--I knew immediately that I had to share it with every REALTOR® that I possibly could. Why? Because I am exactly like the typical visitor to YouTube--I find a video that I like and I pass it along to everyone I know--viral marketing at it’s best. I could be passing along the Baby Dancing to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” but as a teacher and trainer, I know that the Social Media Revolution video has a direct impact for every Realtor out there.
